Draperstown Heritage Trail

Draperstown sits at the foothills of the Sperrins and has its roots in agricultural and traditional farming and in more recent years has become home to a strong industrial base.

The village has a long history and it’s name is derived from the Drapers’ Company, one of the Livery Companies of the city of London who undertook a major building programme in the area in the early 19th Century.

The heritage trail is a self guide walking tour of the town for those wishing to learn more about the history of the area. at some points there are interpretation panels providing information on the buildings and heritage of Draperstown
